There is just this thing about Lemony Snicket’s way of comparing things that make me love everything the man writes. Seriously, ánything.

I’m the kind of person who wears canvas sneakers in the summer and open flats in the middle of winter. I should change something about the latter, though…

Moonrise Kingdom is a wonderful movie, really. I absolutely loved it.

My favourite colour is mint. It’s the shade of my bedroom walls and my shower comb, my favourite bedsheets and nail polish - although I rarely even wear any varnish - and now also a re-occuring colour in my current theme. I think I adore it so much because it’s kind of an inbetween colour. It’s not quite green, but definitely not blue either and on top of that it’s a very soft shade. It resembles my soft-spoken, indecisive character pretty well, I think.

I hate squeaky sounds. I don’t care if it’s the wet rubbery soles of shoes on polished floors, chalk on chalkboard, nails on chalkboard, squeaky voices, the sound of sawing through wood, people rubbing two balloons against each other - seriously, why would you ever want to do that - I hate it. Hate all of it.

My hands are perpetually cold and I always lose my gloves/mittens.

Compliments, I don’t know how to deal with them. They make me feel overly self-concious for some reason. Honestly, I just have a hard time believing they’re true. I guess the only kind of compliments I might actually sincerely appreciate are the ones with a high observant nature. For example, things like: I love the way you ____ when ____ because it seems to me like you ____. And it’s not even the compliment itself, that I’d appreciate so much. It just shows that someone actually cared enough to have looked slightly further than just the surface of my being. Even I would get happy tinglings because of that.

I am so utterly childish. And I like it. (Most of the time…)
